Break & Enter and Robbery

The Medicine Hat Police Service (MHPS) has charged three individuals following an early morning home invasion in the city’s southeast on June 22, 2026.

At approximately 12:59 a.m., a 911 call was received from a residence on Ross Street SE, during which dispatchers heard sounds of a disturbance.

Officers arrived shortly after and observed an exterior door open. Police directed all occupants to exit the residence, and six individuals complied and were taken into custody without further incident.

The investigation determined that three individuals had forced their way into the residence and confronted the occupants with weapons.

As a result, three individuals have been charged with the following offences:

Trevor Muise, 46 years of age, from Redcliff, Alberta:

  • Break and Enter to Commit Robbery
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Uttering Threats (3 counts)
  • Unlawful Confinement (3 counts)
  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possess weapon dangerous to the public

Keera Whiteford-Wall, 40 years of age, from Medicine Hat:

  • Break and Enter to Commit Robbery
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Uttering Threats (3 counts)
  • Unlawful Confinement (3 counts)

Corey Straub, 55 years of age, from Medicine Hat:

  • Break and Enter to Commit Robbery
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Uttering Threats (3 counts)
  • Unlawful Confinement (3 counts)

All three accused were held for Judicial Interim Release hearings and remanded into custody. They are scheduled to appear in Medicine Hat Provincial Court on June 24, 2026.

No injuries were reported. All parties were known to one another, and there is no ongoing risk to the public.
